Designers and contractors from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition arrived at the home of Doug Goodale, a veteran lobster fisherman from Wells Harbor, Maine, bringing incredible news: in just a week, his family would return to a fully renovated house. A few years earlier, as the lobstering season neared its end, Doug faced a critical decision. Staring at the turbulent waters of Wells Harbor, he wrestled with the choice to head out to sea or not. With a family to support, he ventured out at low tide. While pulling up his first trap, a massive wave struck the boat, causing the rope to tangle. A seasoned fisherman, Doug instinctively turned off the motor, but as he reached to do so, his oilskin sleeve got caught.
