Episode Overview

Vincent's difficulties with his new novel lead him to ignore his agent, who ultimately decides to drop him and demands the return of the advance that Vincent has already spent. Maxine, after winning another award, uses her acceptance speech to highlight the plight of a young boy lost in the system, whom she and Sean are struggling to find. Inspired by her interactions with two troubled teens and their mothers in Accountability Court, Amy decides to shift her focus upon returning to Juvenile Court. Maxine aims to prevent the removal of children from an overwhelmed single mother trying to overcome her anger and abuse issues. David feels ready to move on from his wife's death and pursue a relationship with Amy. Ignacio tells Maxine he is committed to building a future with her. In a bold move to push Donna into practicing law, Amy fires her. Lastly, Kyle chooses to go with Heather to Minnesota, agreeing to care for their son while she attends rehab.
