Episode Overview

With Prom just around the corner, everyone is on the hunt for dates. Lindsay receives invitations from both Tommy and Ryan, while Maria is holding out for the ideal guy. Rachel hasn’t been asked yet, as the boys find her intimidating. R.J. surprises everyone by asking the popular Valerie Butler to the dance, and she unexpectedly agrees. However, her older brother Carl threatens R.J. with a beatdown if he mistreats her. Lindsay chooses to attend Prom with Tommy and informs Ryan, but during their date, Tommy feels like Lindsay can’t stop talking about Ryan. Later, he overhears her considering going with Ryan instead. Meanwhile, Screech attempts to convince someone to ask Rachel out, but geeky Fuzzy Hammersley faints at the thought. As Maria grows anxious about not having a date, Ryan steps in and asks her out. On Prom Night, Rachel finds herself at home when Screech shows up in a tuxedo to take her out.
