Episode Overview

In the follow-up to the first season's Christmas episode "Fear Not," titled "The Feather," the small church congregation grapples with the revelation of Monica's true nature. Captivated and confused, they become vulnerable to Charles, a conman masquerading as a preacher. He takes a feather that fell from Monica's dove and uses it as supposed evidence of the miracle, diverting generous donations into his own hands. When Wayne confronts him, it’s revealed that they are brothers; Wayne, now reformed, is determined to stop Charles. The tension escalates when Joey, who has been caring for a crack baby left at the church, seeks Charles's help for healing. Unable to perform the miracle, Monica appears once more, reminding the congregation that they have worshipped a feather instead of the true King, blinding them with their desire for fame.
