Episode Overview

While heading to a beautiful mountain meadow for a wedding, Monica encounters an unexpected visitor, Andrew, an Angel of Death familiar to Tess. Andrew's latest task involves former law school classmates traveling by train to the ceremony. During the journey, Mark Monfort and Susan Duplain reignite their romance, despite breaking up just before graduation. Meanwhile, their friend Lisa Magdaleno is still struggling with the aftermath of her fiancé Doug's suicide, who had been expelled for cheating. Unbeknownst to Mark, he played a role in Doug’s tragic fate. Susan, envious of Doug’s clerkship, manipulated Mark into altering Doug's exam to make it appear as if he had plagiarized. With Andrew’s guidance, Monica helps Mark realize Susan’s obsession with power is spiraling out of control. After a heated confrontation with her, he seeks solace in Lisa’s presence.
