Episode Overview

Colleen and Becky forge a close friendship when Alice, another friend, claims Colleen’s favorite fabric for her dress for the Sweethearts' dance at Bray's store. Meanwhile, Dorothy worries she might be pregnant after fainting at the general store. Mike reassures her that it’s unlikely, but hints that she’s entering the "change of life." Later, he grows irritated as she attempts to teach Sully the Sweethearts' reel. Confiding in Dorothy about his anxieties regarding intimacy, she realizes Mike is still a virgin. In another turn, Becky asks Colleen to find out if Richard, a boy she likes, has feelings for her. When Richard thinks Colleen is the girl he’s interested in and invites her to the kissing tree, Colleen mistakenly believes he’s aware of Becky’s feelings. She sends Becky to meet him, but when Becky backs out, Colleen steps in, leading to an unexpected kiss from Richard. Heartbroken, Becky and Alice join forces
