Episode Overview
An AFO event, akin to the USO, arrives at the base, revealing that the show's coordinator is an ex-girlfriend of Pete's, whom he hasn't reached out to since being deployed. After Jill encourages Pete to take responsibility and apologize, things take an unexpected turn when the girl expresses gratitude to Jill for rekindling their relationship. Meanwhile, Derrick decides to leave Randy to fend for himself at the bar, realizing that his habit of rescuing Randy from awkward situations isn’t needed. To his surprise, Randy manages just fine, prompting Derrick to open up to bartender Erin about his own lack of dating skills. Meanwhile, Cody discovers from his fellow troops that his annual song for the AFO show needs a refresh.
