S02E06 Gladysdale Dry Stone House
Episode Overview
For nine years, Michael and Sandy Rutledge have been making their way to their beautiful 20-acre property in Gladysdale, just an hour east of Melbourne, every weekend. Now, they're ready to leave city life behind and build a new family home on their land. However, they need to find common ground on the design first. Sandy dreams of an Old World European style, inspired by her travels, while Michael prefers a sleek, modern look. Their architect has his own vision, but everyone agrees the house must be durable, featuring thick dry stone walls. Unfortunately, persistent rain leads to delays and flooding, and before they know it, they discover the house isn’t waterproof. As they struggle against the weather’s challenges, can they fix the leaks and create the stone fortress Sandy has always wanted?
