Episode Overview
A one-year-old boy who was born prematurely begins to refuse food, develop a fever, and cough up blood. Rushed to the emergency room, doctors determine that he swallowed a button battery, which has burned a hole in his esophagus. Meanwhile, a 21-year-old Canadian college student experiences a persistent headache that escalates into hallucinations, twitching, memory loss about her age, and grand mal seizures. While resting before brain surgery, she suddenly stands up and screams before collapsing. It is later revealed that she has a brain abscess due to a Streptococcus milleri infection from her tongue piercing. In another case, a mother and wife develops a headache, followed by fever, body aches, dizziness, and foul-smelling urine, leading her doctor to diagnose her with Dengue fever.
