Episode Overview

Following Sally's tragic death, the punishment intensifies, with rations slashed and work demands heightened. Mrs. Van Meyer discovers Joss's true identity as a woman and shamelessly begins to ingratiate herself with her. Meanwhile, Sister Ulrica seeks confession from the priest, admitting her involvement in Sally's funeral, despite the act being viewed as a grave sin due to Sally’s suicide. As penance, she is instructed to isolate herself from the other women and refrain from speaking to them. The priest tells her they have led her away from God. In a surprising turn, Dorothy confides in one of the guards about her pregnancy and her desire to terminate it, prompting Sister Ulrica to finally break her silence.
