S01E09 This Babe Ruth "Babe" Is A Dude, Dude
Episode Overview
Bill and Ted are on their way to school, excited about their new pump sneakers for gym class. They spot Rufus entering a nearby bowling alley to rent shoes for Yankee soldiers who are missing a shipment. Wanting to help, Bill and Ted donate their pump sneakers. In gym class, they infuriate Coach Sweatsocks by running through the hurdles and lacking their shoes, resulting in punishment: polishing trophies, including a signed Babe Ruth baseball. They accidentally drop the baseball in water, ruining the signature. Remembering that Babe Ruth is a famous Yankee, they travel back to the Civil War, where they meet Abner Doubleday, who is developing baseball. They join a game between Yankees and Confederates, suggesting improvements but end up losing the baseball. Hiding in their booth, they meet Harriet Tubman, who is inspired to create an underground railroad. They then land in Transylvania, where a hunchbacked man mistakenly takes their booth, leading to their capture by villagers who
