The Untouchables (1959)
S02E26 Death for Sale
Episode Overview
In the final week of April 1933, Frank Nitti receives an enticing offer for a large shipment of Chinese opium. Since the government launched the Bureau of Narcotics in 1930, the influx of opium from China had dwindled significantly, and by 1932, it nearly stopped altogether. However, with the potential end of Prohibition on the horizon, the Syndicate is eager to re-enter the opium trade. On the night of May 4, Nitti dispatches his trusted lieutenant, Ed Getty, to collect the opium from Art Rele and his enforcer, Cliff Anders. Meanwhile, Ness and Lee Hobson arrive, leading to a violent shootout in which only Art Rele manages to escape.
