Episode Overview
Recently, a series of burglaries has struck the area, with a peculiar pattern: the thief tidies up the house after stealing silver. Nick investigates local auction houses for any stolen items. His suspicions grow regarding the seemingly benevolent Penelope Stirling, especially after witnessing her purchasing incomplete antique sets. Meanwhile, the police alert residents, including Lord Ashfordly, to stay vigilant and secure their valuables from view. The thief is eventually caught after robbing Ashfordly Hall, where he inadvertently triggers an alarm while straightening a picture. It’s revealed that Stirling has been acquiring antiques from elderly owners, only to sell them as complete sets after their deaths, but Nick lacks the evidence to prove her guilt.
