Episode Overview
Title: An American in Aidensfield Plot: Charlie, an American biker, arrives at the police station after a crash. Kate, who has temporarily relocated her clinic there, tends to his injuries. Meanwhile, Nick is bedridden with the flu, struggling to find time to recuperate. A local Korean War veteran is enraged upon discovering that Charlie is a draft dodger, avoiding service in Vietnam. This leads to a confrontation at the pub. When Charlie's motorcycle is damaged, he repairs it, but the veteran attempts to run him off the road, only to end up in a ditch himself. Meanwhile, Greengrass acquires a pair of vintage British bikes, claiming they’re for a museum, but secretly sells them to Charlie. Gina is drawn to Charlie and considers his offer to take her to London.
