Episode Overview
Nick gets pulled into a quoits game, where Claude steps in to teach him the ropes. He also meets Jo's parents for the first time, but it doesn't go well. Jo hasn't mentioned Nick's previous marriage or his daughter, Katie, which leads to an awkward atmosphere. Her father is particularly unimpressed with Nick's career aspirations, making their disapproval clear. Meanwhile, a coach accident occurs on the moors, and Nick panics, fearing that Katie and Eileen are on it, but they actually traveled by car. Tragically, one person dies, and Nick must break the news to his wife. Ruby confides in Nick about her loneliness and a new potential roommate who can be aggressive when angry. Nick advises her to end things with him, and ultimately, she chooses to follow that advice.
