Now serving as the acting Sergeant at Ashfordly, Nick finds himself entangled in a troubling situation involving a girl named Tracy and two bikers from the fair who perform the dangerous 'wheel of death.' Tracy's father is struggling with depression, leaving her sister Belinda deeply concerned for him. Tensions rise when Tracy's dad confronts Dirk, one of the bikers, threatening him to stay away from his daughter. When oil is poured onto the 'wheel of death,' causing Dirk to tumble, suspicion falls on her father. However, it’s revealed that Tracy was behind the act, hoping to injure Dirk's partner so she could join him. Meanwhile, Trevor Lamus becomes the target of a bizarre hate campaign, with soap powder found in his beer and a gravestone erected in his name. Nick enlists Mike to look into the matter and discovers that many locals, including Alf, contributed to the gravestone. Realizing the awkwardness of the situation, Nick decides to let everyone
