Episode Overview

Mike and Caitlin share an intimate moment. Meanwhile, the team scrambles to manage the fallout, but in a selfless act, Mike decides to resign to protect his colleagues. The staff gathers at a bar for heartfelt farewells. Caitlin reassures Mike of her commitment to stay by his side. He bids farewell to the mayor before leaving City Hall for the final time. Fast forward six weeks, Mike reemerges in Washington, D.C. as an environmental lobbyist, starting a new chapter in his life.
