Episode Overview
Title: The Hill Plot: Goldman and Nikki savor a brief escape together at China Beach, but their joyful reunion is overshadowed by Nikki's refusal to marry him, as she fears for his safety in the war. Upon returning to Firebase Ladybird, Goldman learns his unit has been tasked with capturing Hill 1000 once more. They’ve fought for it before and suffered losses; this battle is expected to be brutal. After taking the bunker only to find it deserted, they are ordered to return for defoliation. Meanwhile, Horn finds himself in trouble with a new officer. While waiting for his court-martial at the foot of the hill, he spots a wounded Taylor and decides to rejoin his comrades, leading to Horn's serious injury and subsequent evacuation home.
