Gary Arnold and his daughter Su make an emergency landing in Coopers Crossing when Gary suddenly collapses at the controls. Once in the hospital, the doctors are stumped about his condition. Eventually, Geoff suspects typhoid, and his intuition proves correct. The news leaves everyone shaken, leading them to maintain distance from Su. However, Marty steps in to support her. It’s revealed that Su had been living at a camp in Thailand since her mother's passing, and Gary had been desperately trying to bring her home. They fled Thailand and crossed into Australia illegally, but Jack figures everything out, allowing them to stay.
