Episode Overview
Two criminals attempt to hijack an armored car using a peculiar ray weapon. Frustrated by their lack of progress, they increase the weapon's intensity, causing the vehicle to explode and killing one of them in the process. Lambert, watching the news, recognizes the futuristic weapon and goes undercover as an agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. He retrieves the weapon and questions the surviving criminal, but the man has no leads on who provided it. Suspecting a time-traveling weapons inventor, Lambert plans to confront him but is ambushed and nearly killed, resulting in the weapon being taken. After recovering, Lambert devises a strategy to locate the inventor. However, when he finds the inventor and his accomplice, they are armed with a contemporary gauntlet. Will Lambert succeed in reaching them?
