Episode Overview

Lambert has finally located a fugitive and is ready to send him into the future when the criminal suddenly pulls a gun. Just then, a shot rings out, and the fugitive is completely incinerated by Mace, an old friend of Lambert's. Mace is on a mission to apprehend a corrupt police chief who abuses his authority. Although Lambert disapproves of Mace's aggressive tactics, they must work together. Mace brings along his own version of SELMA, a holographic assistant named CINDI, but they need SELMA to track the fugitive. While en route, a hijacker takes control of their plane, but Mace quickly subdues him, drawing unwanted attention upon their arrival. Using Lambert's strategic mindset, they manage to slip away unnoticed. They plan to speak with a decent cop who opposes the corrupt chief, but their meeting is compromised when the officer's location is bugged, leading to a SWAT team storming his trailer
