Gigi Perreau
Gigi Perreau, born Ghislaine Elizabeth Marie Thérèse Perreau-Saussine on June 6, 1941, in Los Angeles, California, is a talented actress whose career began unexpectedly. The daughter of French émigré Robert Perreau-Saussine and Eleanor Child Perreau-Saussine, Gigi's journey into acting started when she accompanied her brother Gerald to an audition for the film Madame Curie. At just two years old, she secured an uncredited role as Ève, the daughter of Madame Curie, showcasing her early potential.
Throughout her childhood, Perreau captivated audiences with her performances in several films, notably portraying the daughter of Bette Davis and Claude Rains in the 1944 classic Mr. Skeffington. In 1951, her prominence as a child actress earned her the title of "top child movie actress," and she was honored with the keys to the city of Pittsburgh by then-mayor David L. Lawrence, marking her as the youngest recipient of this accolade.
As she transitioned into adulthood, Perreau's film career waned, leading her to embrace television roles. She appeared in popular series such as The Donna Reed Show and The Betty Hutton Show and starred in the western Stagecoach West. Gigi also had a recurring part in Follow the Sun and made guest appearances on notable shows, including Perry Mason and Gunsmoke. In the 1970s, she charmed audiences on The Brady Bunch as a math teacher.
In the 2000s, Gigi returned to the screen, lending her voice to animated films like Fly Me to the Moon and A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures, proving her enduring talent in the entertainment industry.
