Chad McQueen
Chadwick S. "Chad" McQueen, born on December 28, 1960, in Los Angeles, California, was a multifaceted American actor, film producer, martial artist, and race car driver. He was the son of legendary actor Steve McQueen and Filipino actress Neile Adams.
Chad embarked on his acting journey with his memorable portrayal of Dutch in the iconic films *The Karate Kid* and its sequel, *The Karate Kid Part II*. He subsequently expanded his career with significant roles in a series of direct-to-video action films, including *Martial Law*, *Death Ring*, and *Red Line*. In addition to acting, McQueen made his mark as a producer, winning a Telly Award for his documentary *Filming at Speed*. After stepping back from acting, he became a familiar face on television, making appearances as himself on motorsport-related shows such as *Hot Rod TV* and *Celebrity Rides*.
Although there were discussions for him to return as Dutch in the popular series *Cobra Kai*, his commitments to McQueen Racing and ongoing recovery from a racing injury ultimately hindered his participation.
In his personal life, McQueen had notable relationships, including a romance with USEF Equestrian rider Jill Henderson White Pasceri in the 1980s. He was married to Stacia Toten from 1987 to 1990, with whom he had a son, Steven R. McQueen, born in 1988, who also pursued an acting career. He later married Jeanie Galbraith in 1993.
Chad McQueen passed away from organ failure on September 11, 2024, at his ranch in Palm Desert, California, at the age of 63. Friends noted that he never fully recovered from an injury sustained in a fall in 2020.
