Plot

Dodo Delwyn, once a celebrated star of the Ziegfeld Follies, now finds himself performing as a clown in seedy burlesque shows, his career derailed by alcoholism. His young son, Little Dink, sees his father as a hero and believes a comeback is within reach. Determined, Dink enlists "Uncle" Goldie, Dodo’s former agent, to secure a gig, but the effort fails. After being sent to live with his affluent mother, Paula, Dink longs for his father and returns home. His arrival reignites Dodo's ambition, prompting him to embrace a new opportunity in a chaotic TV show.
