Plot

During a routine check-up, chronic hypochondriac George Kimball misinterprets a terminal diagnosis given to another patient as his own, leading him to believe he has only two weeks to live. Determined to ensure his wife Judy is taken care of, he secretly searches for a new husband for her. When George eventually confesses his supposed fate, Judy quickly realizes he isn't actually dying. Convinced it's merely a cover for an affair, she decides to end their marriage, complicating George's misguided intentions even further.
