The Stand at Apache River (1953)

Plot

Sheriff Lane Dakota apprehends robbery-murder suspect Greiner, who is injured during an Apache ambush. They find refuge at a secluded outpost, Apache River, where they join a diverse group of travelers, including two women with an unusual collection of elegant gowns. Tensions rise the following morning when a group of seemingly peaceful Apaches arrives, having wandered off their reservation. Colonel Morsby, holding deeply ingrained prejudices, is quick to draw his weapon, ready to act before seeking understanding. The night’s events set the stage for a dangerous confrontation.
