The Lion (1962)

Plot

Tina, a young girl living on a Kenyan wildlife reserve with her mother and stepfather, finds solace in her unconventional friendship with a fully grown lion. While her stepfather revels in the wild environment, her mother grows increasingly alarmed by Tina's bond with the beast, fearing it may lead to her daughter adopting savage traits. To restore normalcy, she reaches out to Tina's biological father, hoping he can bring her back to a more civilized life in rural Connecticut. However, underlying her intentions may be a deeper desire for Tina’s connection to nature.
