Plot

The Zhao family's reign ends in tragedy when their bitter rival, Tu'an Gu, annihilates them in a ruthless bid for power. Only one infant survives, hidden away by Cheng Ying, the doctor who delivered him. Upon discovering the child's escape, Tu'an Gu threatens the city's infants, demanding the Zhao heir be turned over. To protect his own family, Cheng Ying sacrifices the Zhao baby, claiming him as his own. However, tragedy strikes when his wife and child are killed, prompting Cheng Ying to plot revenge by raising the Zhao orphan within Tu'an Gu’s household, preparing him for a future reckoning.
