Plot

Marnie Minervini embraces a new life in Los Angeles, leaving New Jersey behind after her husband's passing. With a new iPhone, an apartment near the Grove, and financial security, she aims to shower her daughter, Lori, a successful but single screenwriter, with affection. However, Lori struggles with her mother’s overbearing presence, prompting her to establish boundaries. Undeterred, Marnie redirects her relentless optimism and generosity towards helping others, discovering new connections and a renewed sense of purpose in the process.
