Plot
Daniel Pardway rises from the ashes of the great Chicago fire to create the city's largest department store. Ambitious and determined, he dreams of handing over the family business to his three sons and daughter. However, he faces an uphill battle as they show little interest or ability in carrying on his legacy. As he navigates their disinterest and his own aspirations, Daniel must confront the harsh realities of family dynamics and the future of his hard-earned empire.
