Plot

Amid the disillusionment of warfare and the rampant corruption of their South Vietnamese allies, a group of young soldiers grows increasingly frustrated with their inept company commander. Seeking a reprieve from the relentless combat, they stumble upon a potential escape: by intentionally losing a soccer match to a local team, they could secure a less dangerous assignment, spending their remaining time playing exhibition games away from the front lines.
