R. Lee Ermey

Ronald Lee Ermey (March 24, 1944 – April 15, 2018) was a distinguished United States Marine Corps drill instructor turned actor, celebrated for his commanding presence both on and off the screen. Ermey's career took off with his iconic role as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Stanley Kubrick's acclaimed film *Full Metal Jacket*, where his intense portrayal of a drill instructor left a lasting impression on audiences.
