Plot
Set in 1930s Paris, young Paul has always known the confines of his orphanage. His life takes a dramatic turn when he is placed in the care of Célestine, a spirited country woman, and her husband Borel, a stern gamekeeper. Relocated to a vast estate in Sologne, Paul must navigate the enchanting yet unsettling wilderness, filled with dense forests, misty ponds, and sprawling heaths. The estate belongs to the reclusive Count de la Fresnaye, an enigmatic elderly man living in solitude. Paul’s journey of self-discovery unfolds amidst this wild and sovereign landscape.
