Plot

In "The Cable Guy," Steven, freshly separated, settles into his new apartment where he encounters the overly enthusiastic cable installer, Chip. Eager to forge a friendship, Chip's intentions quickly spiral out of control. As Steven attempts to distance himself from Chip, he discovers that his new acquaintance harbors a sinister obsession. Stalked and isolated, Steven struggles to convince those around him of Chip's threatening behavior, leaving him to confront the increasingly unstable cable guy alone.
