Plot
Luther Heggs, a typesetter at the town newspaper, proposes a feature on a notorious haunted house linked to a tragic murder-suicide from two decades prior. His editor challenges him to spend a night in the eerie mansion, leading to a series of ghostly encounters. Inspired by his experiences, Luther crafts a sensational front-page article that catapults him to local fame. However, his newfound glory is threatened when the deceased's nephew takes legal action against him for libel, complicating his journey to heroism.
