Plot
Set against the backdrop of a 1987 hunger strike in the Egyptian film industry, Yehia, portrayed by director Chahine, finds himself grappling with his obsession for Amr, the charming actor he discovered. As they navigate the complexities of their relationship, Yehia pressures Amr to take on various ambitious roles, starting with Hamlet, which the actor feels is beyond his capabilities. The director then envisions him as the star of a grand musical biopic about Alexander the Great, the legendary figure who established Alexandria in 332 B.C., further complicating their dynamic.
