Plot

In 1839, the slave ship Amistad embarked from Cuba to America, but the journey took a dramatic turn when Cinque spearheaded a remarkable revolt among the enslaved crew. Captured and imprisoned in Connecticut, their fate ignites a fierce legal battle. Theodore Joadson, a freed slave, is determined to secure justice for Cinque and his companions, enlisting the expertise of property lawyer Roger Baldwin. As the case gains traction, former President John Quincy Adams steps in as a key supporter, further amplifying the fight for their freedom and rights.
