Plot
The California Atoms find themselves at the bottom of the league, facing a dismal season. Their fortunes take a surprising turn when they decide to enlist their mascot, a mule named Gus, as a player. With his remarkable ability to kick 100-yard field goals, Gus transforms the team’s performance, propelling them up the ranks. However, this unexpected advantage doesn’t sit well with the competition, leading to a series of amusing and competitive confrontations as the Atoms strive to prove themselves in a league that underestimates them.
