Plot
Slick gambler James Wylie finds himself facing prison time but is offered a deal to avoid jail: he must impersonate a bandit. Tasked with uncovering the identity of the Poet, a cunning outlaw robbing bank-owned stagecoaches and leaving taunting verses behind, James dives into the criminal underworld. Along the way, he becomes entangled with the Poet's beautiful wife, Ann. Initially distant, Ann gradually warms to James, and together they embark on a quest to track down the elusive bandit, blending romance with their pursuit of justice.
