Tom Fadden (January 6, 1895 – April 14, 1980) was a versatile American actor whose career spanned several decades across stage, film, vaudeville, and television.

Fadden made his cinematic debut in the 1939 film *I Stole a Million*, but it was his role in *Destry Rides Again* that truly showcased his talent. In this classic Western, he is memorably seen in the opening scene, where his character is distracted by Marlene Dietrich’s character, leading to a humorous mishap during a card game.

Throughout his nearly 40-year film career, Fadden appeared in over 90 films, often taking on small or supporting roles, but he also had moments in the spotlight, such as his leading performance in the 1940 film *Zanzibar*. His ability to bring charm and humor to his characters endeared him to audiences and made him a recognizable figure in Hollywood.

Fadden's final appearance came in the 1977 science fiction horror movie *Empire of the Ants*, where he continued to demonstrate his talents until the end of his career.

He passed away of natural causes on April 14, 1980, in Vero Beach, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances that contributed to the fabric of American entertainment.
