Plot
At the pinnacle of his success, Gleason enjoys fame, fortune, and flirtations but remains tormented by his troubled past. His early days were spent performing in dive bars and plagiarizing jokes from established comedians, all while nurturing a romance with dancer Genevieve, whom he eventually marries. However, his selfishness leads him to abandon his family in pursuit of Hollywood stardom. Despite his brash personality alienating colleagues, he seizes a rare comeback with groundbreaking television roles.
