BattleBots (2000)
Overview
Competitors in BattleBots unleash their remote-controlled, weaponized machines in thrilling arena showdowns, vying for elimination in an intense tournament format. When matches conclude, if both bots remain functioning, a point system evaluates damage, aggression, and strategy to determine the victor. The show debuted on Comedy Central in August 2000 and ran for five seasons, culminating in August 2002. Presented by Bil Dwyer and Sean Salisbury, it featured correspondents like Donna D'Errico, Carmen Electra, and Traci Bingham, with Bill Nye serving as the technical guru. The series ended after Comedy Central ceased its contract with BattleBots Inc. in late 2002.
