Zoey 101 (2005)
Overview
Zoey 101, airing on Nickelodeon from January 9, 2005, to May 2, 2008, follows the adventures of Zoey Brooks and her friends at Pacific Coast Academy, a fictional boarding school in Southern California. Created by Dan Schneider, the series was shot initially at Pepperdine University in Malibu before transitioning to Valencia stages in its third season. Garnering an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Children's Program" in 2005, it was the network's most expensive production to date and celebrated a strong premiere. However, the show faced criticism regarding its characters and setting from various reviewers.
