Masayuki Mori
Masayuki Mori (森 雅之 Mori Masayuki), born on January 13, 1911, in Sapporo, Hokkaido, was a renowned Japanese actor. He was the offspring of Takeo Arishima, a celebrated novelist who made significant contributions during the late Meiji and Taishō eras. Mori is particularly noted for his collaborations with acclaimed filmmaker Akira Kurosawa, featuring in iconic films such as Rashomon and The Idiot. In addition to his work with Kurosawa, he also played significant roles in works by other illustrious directors, including Kenji Mizoguchi in Ugetsu and Mikio Naruse in Floating Clouds. His performances have left a lasting impact on Japanese cinema, showcasing his remarkable talent and versatility as an actor. Mori's career spanned several decades until his passing on October 7, 1973.
