Plot
A young boy finds refuge with a priest and his wife amid the turmoil of Nazi-occupied Romania during World War II. He forms an unlikely friendship with the village outcast, a man shunned by the community. As the war nears its end, tension escalates when a German soldier is murdered, prompting the authorities to threaten the village with annihilation unless the culprit is surrendered. In a desperate act of self-preservation, the villagers choose to betray the innocent idiot, leading to devastating consequences for all involved.
