Plot

Mike and Tony Petrakis, a Greek father-son duo, harvest sponges off Florida's coast. Their venture takes a dark turn when they are swindled by criminals Arnold and the Rhys brothers. Undeterred, Mike leads his crew to the perilous 12-mile reef in search of more sponges. Tragedy strikes when Mike dies in an accident, forcing Tony to take over the family business alone. However, he finds unexpected support from Gwyneth Rhys, adding a new dynamic to his challenging journey in the unforgiving underwater world.
