Plot

As World War II approaches its conclusion, General Dietrich von Choltitz is commanded to set Paris ablaze if the Allies draw near or if he loses grip on the city. After deep reflection, Choltitz chooses to defy these orders, sparking fury among the German command and igniting hope among resistance groups eager for liberation. In collaboration with Swedish diplomat Raoul Nordling, Choltitz aids a leader of the resistance in rallying his fighters, fostering a spirit of rebellion against their oppressors.
