Plot
Dave Joslin, a big-city newspaper’s managing editor, faces a setback when publisher J.B. Grennell demotes him to writing the Miss Lonely Hearts column. This punishment stems from Joslin's unwavering commitment to exposing gangster Matthew Keever's involvement in a murder. Undeterred, Joslin teams up with Kit Williams, a fellow journalist and his romantic interest, to pursue their own investigation into the crime. As they dig deeper, their determination to unveil the truth leads them into a dangerous web of deceit and corruption.
