Agnes Moorehead
Agnes Robertson Moorehead (December 6, 1900 – April 30, 1974) was a prominent American actress whose career spanned over three decades. She initially gained experience with the Mercury Theatre and went on to star in more than seventy films, starting with the iconic Citizen Kane, as well as numerous television series. Today, she is best remembered for her memorable portrayal of the witch Endora on the beloved show Bewitched.
Although she rarely held leading roles in films, Moorehead's remarkable talent for character portrayal earned her significant accolades, including one Emmy Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and nominations for four Academy Awards and six additional Emmy Awards. Her versatility allowed her to excel in both dramatic and comedic roles, often embodying characters that exuded arrogance and sophistication.
